Quote from a Professional

"Thanks so much Tammy ; this was a great course and your style and approach was a large part of that. I really feel you've taught me a very valuable skill that I can use with my own family and also teach to others. Thank you!"Edinburgh, March '09

Courses - General Info

Baby Massage is a simple & straightforward skill to learn, for parents and professionals, with many benefits for all. It only requires some dedicated time & attention to pick up the basic skills.

There have been a few parents who say:

'I've been rubbing my baby a little at home - I am not sure if what I am doing is right, but it seems to help'.

Usually the parent has instinctively started on the right track. They just need to learn a few more key points & have a bit  more information to give them the confidence to practise massage with their babies regularly.

Courses for Parents:

  • Run  over a 5 week period for just over an hour each week.
  • A bottle of oil and a list of strokes are provided to use & keep.
  • You just need to bring your baby, a couple of towels & a change or two of nappies!
  • You will be sitting on cushions on the floor with shoes off - odd socks are the norm...
  • Courses in Edinburgh are run at the Pregnancy & Parents Centre

Individual sessions at the Centre & courses for friends run in your own home are currently available in Edinburgh.  Tammy has trained many others across Scotland and a list & map of when and where other classes are running will be available in the next 6 weeks.

In the meantime, please contact us for more information.

Courses For Professionals:

Baby Massage Instructors Course

  • This is a 3-day course over a period of x3 months.
  • For groups of six to twelve, Tammy will travel to you. This can help to get the most from your training budget, cutting down on travel expenses & time away.
  • The groups are kept small, max 12, to allow for personal, individual attention.
  • For individuals who just wish to be trained themselves, Tammy runs courses in Edinburgh about every 3 months. Please contact us for more information.

Baby Massge Clinical Supervision & Child Massage Study Day

  • For those who have already trained in baby massage and have been teaching parents.
  • It is a review of the Baby Massage Strokes and how to adapt them for parents & children aged 2 to 10 years old.  This Study day is run about every 6 months.  Please contact us for more information.
